Head of Finance
We are currently seeking a Head of Finance for an industry leading Manufacturing client. Reporting to the European MD, we are looking for a dynamic and versatile Finance Manager who can challenge the status quo and drive change across the UK division. You will manage all financial aspects for both manufacturing and commercial, whilst also taking responsibility for both IT and HR functions. As part of the UK Leadership team, this role will act as a key business partner, driving decisions and supporting business strategies, whilst also ensuring compliance and financial health. The Head Office is in Maidenhead; however there is an expectation that this person will spend 1 or 2 days in the Northampton office. Key responsibilites Play integral part of the Leadership Team - support key initiatives, ensuring key financial / operational goals are met, maintaining good working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Initiate strong links with Sales and Marketing / Operations, driving insightful analysis to support long and short term decisions, highlighting key issues and challenging accordingly Sound understanding of key manufacturing processes and associated financials, supporting key operational metrics, driving standard cost process and playing influential role in ERP role out (next 12mths) Oversee all financial flows (AP/AR/GL/TAX/Payroll etc) and corresponding IT system links / processes, ensuring robust controls in place for all key processes. Oversee finalisation of Statutory Accounts, with minimal follow-up audit points - Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation. Drive team development, initiating a pro-active / business support approach, cross functional learnings and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Skills & Experience Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or qualified by experience Experience of working in a finance management role (preferably with a manufacturing background) Experience within a technical accounting department - alternatively substantial formal knowledge within the field. "Can do" attitude - willingness to challenge status quo, attacking issues with drive and energy with an eye on the bottom line; outcome delivery focused.
