Penetration Tester – Remote Working

Due to large expansion plans my client requires talented and confident Penetration Testers to join their team with remote working flexibility. They were our most exciting boutique Cyber Security consultancy client last year due to having huge expansion plans and investment and are doing exactly the same in 2018!

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is confident and self sufficient enough to work on projects straight away.

Responsibilities

  • Performing remote and onsite network penetration testing
  • Performing application security assessments against a wide range of web application technologies
  • Assist in the development and growth of the internal lab function
  • Performing infrastructure security assessments against a wide range of operating systems and network devices
  • Performing wireless security assessments against a wide range of wireless devices
  • Undertaking information security assignments and other projects as required
  • Communicating within the business and with clients, both orally and in writing
  • Assisting with the development and growth of the team and services
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of a competency framework/assault course to aid in team development
  • Assisting with the development of cutting edge training material for internal and external delivery

Requirements:

  • Have good all round technical knowledge and a detailed understanding of networking protocols
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology related field
  • Hold a related security certification such as OSCP, CISSP, CISA, CEH
  • Be proficient in conducting wireless security assessments
  • Be proficient in at least one scripting language such as Ruby, Python or Perl
  • Able to manually exploit infrastructure vulnerabilities and escalate privileges
  • Able to manually and proficiently exploit web application vulnerabilities
  • Able to contribute to the development of subject matter expertise of focused capabilities in a broad range of topics
  • Have a working knowledge of common programming languages such as C, C++, Java, PHP and Perl
  • Be proficient in conducting infrastructure security assessments against Windows and Unix based networks
  • Able to write exploit code / assessment tools for common vulnerabilities
  • Have an understanding of mobile application testing and methodology
  • Ability to travel to the Berkshire based office, client sites and work remotely when required
