Howarth Morris are excited to be recruiting for one of the UK's most successful and highly regarded insurance businesses.
Based in Liverpool at their state of the art offices, the successful Accounts Assistant will join a friendly and supportive finance team within a rapidly expanding nationwide company. The Accounts Assistant's responsibilities will include:

•Posting and allocating daily payments and receipts
•Dealing with a high volume of account reconciliation from brokers
•Working closely with the credit controller ensuring the timely collection of debts owed to the company
•Meeting cash and debtor days as set by the company
•Liaising with colleagues and customers to resolve queries in a timely and
professional manner by telephone and email
•Identifying changes in payment patterns and propose action to avert indebtedness
•Maintaining accurate records of all activity
•Sending out client statements as required
•Reporting on aged debt
•Ensuring monthly processing deadlines are met as required by the company
•Undertaking any other duties as delegated by the Finance Manager or any other
person designated in their absence

Applicants will have previous experience of working within a similar and varied transactional accounts role and will thrive in a fast paced environment. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative as well as part of a team and will have excellent written and verbal skills. My client is particularly interested in receiving applications from candidates who have worked within the insurance industry, however this is not essential. My client is also happy to consider applications from candidates who are looking to take on more responsibility in time as they do look to promote career progression. Based in the Head Office within Liverpool, this opportunity offers a competitive salary complimented with benefits including 20 days holiday, that increases each year to a maximum of 24 days, Pension scheme and other benefits including child care vouchers and incentive/bonus schemes.
