Support Worker - Adult / Youth - Do you have Support Work experience? Would you like to support a fantastic independent service provider of unique, flexible and person centred services for children and adults with learning disabilities? If so we are currently searching for Support Workers in Adult and Youth care to be based in Ipswich, Hadleigh and surrounding areas. As a Youth Support Worker the key focus of this role will be to work flexibly with young people with learning disabilities and complex needs such as behavioural challenges, enabling them to develop and live ordinary lives. As an adult support worker the key focus is to be person centred and active in facilitating an ordinary lives model within supported living homes. As a home based carer you will facilitating people to return home from care /hospital settings whom may have physical or emotional/mental health needs. Some key responsibilities include: Be a great team member Enjoy being with people and supporting them to develop Communicate effectively Following all support plans and behaviour plans Provide personal care Be aware of and act within the company's Safeguarding and Vulnerable Children Adults Policy and Procedure Be a positive role model Be inspiring and motivational to those you support and work alongside Support individuals to attend education, work or day services Support individuals to pursue hobbies, attend clubs and enjoy an active social life Contribute to the health, safety and security of individuals and their environment The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes Effective communication skills both written and verbal An empathetic and sensitive approach to care Willingness to complete care qualification relevant to the role Reliable Flexible On offer is an hourly rate of £7.70 - £8.00 and flexible working hours.
