Shift Team Leader
Shift Maintenance Team Leader
Are you an experienced hands on maintenance team leader
Are you an apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer who has worked in an automated manufacturing environment?
Are you multi-skilled, with the papers and the practical work experience to back it up?
Would you like to work for one of the leading Food Manufacturers based in the West Midlands for only half of the year?
Okay that might sound slightly misleading, but it is true that working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern maximises your time off to spend how you want 2( day of day shit followed by 2 days of night shift followed by 4 days off rotating).
You will be responsible for a a solid team of maintenance engineers, you will work closely with other engineers managing Capex projects, PPM and reactive maintenance. They have quite a robust CMMS to assist with this.
The company is seeking a Time Served Engineering apprenticeship or a HNC qualified person with at least 3 years' practical work experience in an automated manufacturing environment. Food Industry experience is desirable for this maintenance role, but is not essential, maybe you come from Chemical, Packaging or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, ideally an industry that requires a sterile environment.
This is a hands on multi-skilled maintenance engineering leadership role, so combined electrical and mechanical skills is essential including PLC knowledge, maybe not to program, but at least to fault-find.
Other areas of engineering I would expect you to be competent in are: pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control gauges and systems, instrumentation, welding and a Forklift license would also be great!
Other job titles for this role could be: maintenance manager, maintenance supervisor, shift manager, senior maintenance engineer, shift maintenance manager
