2nd Line IT Support- Windows, Troubleshooting, Android, Communication, ITIL

My Newcastle based client are looking for an expeirnced 2nd Line Support Analyst on a
Permanent basis.


• Participate in a 24/7 shift rota
• Provide second-line support to users
• Perform general application systems administration
• Perform daily monitoring tasks to maintain systems uptime
• Liaise with users to understand, document and manage their requirements and issues to resolution
• Work with IT Development Team to test new IT solutions
• Provide technical IT support and guidance to the Projects Team
• Provide data extracts to the business to support sales and tender documentation
• Manage IT DR and BCP processes
• Manage and host internal IT Forums
• Build, support and administration of PC and Laptop hardware across the business
• Build, support and administration of Mobile devices across the business
• Able to learn new skills quickly and effectively through personal learning and development and in house business training

Essential experience
• Mobile Operating Systems experience (Android, IOS)
• Mobile Device Manager experience (SOTI, Google MDM)
• Good communication and planning skills
• HP and Dell Laptop, PC and Server troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience supporting Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10.
• Experience of Enterprise Antivirus server/client systems
• Network printers and print servers
• Able to support Microsoft Office 2003 – 2016
• Experience with Remote access using RDP, and remote assistance to help remote users
• Understanding of citrix using published applications and VDI
• Active directory experience and understanding
• Understanding of NTFS Permissions
• Understanding of Virtual infrastructures (VMware, AWS)
• Understanding of Monitoring and Alerting systems (Nagios)

• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining server operating systems 2003 – 2012
• Linux OS Installation and support
• Experience of Microsoft Exchange 2010 +
• Experience of Imaging software such as Microsoft SCCM and Clonezilla
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL best practises
