Payroll Administrator - Cambridge

If you have a strong background in payroll and are looking to work for one of the country’s leading accountancy firms, our client can offer you a role in their growing team as a Payroll Administrator.

You will manage your own portfolio and report directly to the Payroll Manager. Furthermore, you will be supported in new your role, given a generous remuneration package and will have every opportunity to progress within the firm.

The Role

  • Manage a portfolio consisting of weekly, fortnightly, monthly and annual payrolls
  • Processing of SSP, SMP, SPP and NI
  • RTI reporting and CIS returns
  • Setting up the auto-enrolment through various pension providers
  • Calculation of tax and NIC contributions
  • Reviewing the work of more junior team members
  • Dealing effectively with client queries
  • Liaising with HMRC

The Candidate

  • Have experience of end-to-end payroll processing in a practice setting
  • Ideally CIPP qualified
  • Have excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Have good working knowledge of Auto Enrolment
  • Work effectively on own initiative or as part of a team
  • Have strong IT skills (intermediate excel essential)
