Principal Pre-sales Consultants - Telecoms & M2M

To £75,000 + bonus & comprehensive benefits

Location Flexible - Winchester, Hampshire; Daventry, Northants; Bromsgrove, Worcestershire; Emley Moor, Yorkshire

As a Principal Pre-sales Consultant reporting to our Head of Technical Sales Supportin this customer-facing role, you’ll be responsible for providing senior-level, pre-sales technical expertise to support telecoms and M2M customer engagement by our Sales and Business Development teams. Leading the initial development of large-scale technical solutions, you’ll perform specific consultancy assignments for

major customers as part of business development initiatives. You’ll use a combination of technical expertise and strong commercial awareness to help drive sales and develop customer relationships.

Other key accountabilities include:

  • taking the lead technical role to aid the development of technical solutions
  • providing technology and strategy leadership across telecoms and M2M
  • helping maximise efficiencies across the design and deployment of products and services.

Educated to degree level in an engineering or similar discipline, you have extensive experience of the design and deployment of smart metering networks across the utility sectors, underpinned by knowledge of IoT, fixed and mobile telecoms market and products. With excellent communications and presentation skills up to board level, you’re experienced at leading the design process on largescale network build opportunities and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. In addition to strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of wireless technologies and systems, you also have the ability to:

  • meet demanding, customer-driven deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • produce high-quality technical documentation to support customer bids
  • make a significant contribution to the development of leading-edge products.
