Food Technology Teacher urgently required for Wirral based school for a short term post. Could go longer term

You will be working for a Good rated secondary school, with outstanding features, in Wirral. This school is led by a forward thinking Head Teacher, who has been applauded for his motivational and approachable manner towards his staff and his students. Your new role
Working within the DT department, you will be teaching Food Technology up to A Level Standard. You may also be asked to teach other areas of DT, but the majority of your timetable will be within Food. This role is initially expected to last a month, however the school are also looking for someone to undertake a maternity post in the near future. If you are the right candidate, they will start this maternity post early. This is expected to last a full academic year. You will work alongside a successful technology team who have recently received regional recognition for their exemplary work with their students.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a proven track record of teaching Food Technology, as well as a relevant teaching qualification, and any health and safety certificates required to teach in a kitchen environment. You will be expected to plan, prepare and assess work, delivering feedback to students and parents in a timely and efficient manner. You will be expected to deliver challenging and engaging lessons, ensuring all students make progress. You will be expected to confidently deliver practical lessons in a safe manner, utilising the support of a technology technician if required. NQT's are welcome to apply for the role.
