Based in Kent the Capital Equipment Buyer will be tasked with investment purchases, forecasting, stock management, pricing, invoices, freight and project improvements.

Our client is a leading provider of products and services to the health care industry. Seeking a Capital Equipment Buyer to join the team in Kent.


This is a robust and multifaceted role which will test and stretch. Key elements include:

  • Full ownership and responsibility for a portfolio of product of around £10 million situated in several locations throughout the UK.
  • Implement Capital Equipment investment purchases taking into account ROI and open order book needs
  • Actively seek best pricing through negotiation and market awareness
  • Negotiate and monitor vendor rebates to ensure most cost effective terms are agreed
  • Ensure cost effective placement of orders to meet service and profit requirements
  • Control Inventory levels across all related branches working closely with operations
  • Ensure stock movements are actioned correctly and inventory accuracy is maintained
  • Maintain Fill Rate for Stocked lines at or above set goal of 98+%
  • Constantly review and seek improvement to processes and cost saving initiatives


The Capital Equipment Buyer role will suit someone from a Wholesale/Distribution or FMCG manufacturing background who is passionate about achieving organisational profitability.

  • Proven track record of reviewing and suggesting improvements to processes
  • Proven track record of implementing cost savings initiatives
  • Ability to demonstrate a technical mind, understanding specifications and delivering
  • Well-developed Influencing and negotiation skills
