Our client currently seeks a BI Solutions Architect to operate as a Professional Services Consultant and Pre-Sales evangelist around their BI / Big Data and Analytics offerings.

Key skills

Tech

The right candidate will have a good understanding of the space including technologies such as:

- Apache Cassandra
- MongdoDB
- Kafka
- Spark
- Qlikview

Knowledge of more leading edge AI tech like: IBM Watson, LUIS, NG Data would be highly advantageous.

Architecture

You will be expected to have architectural design patterns and frameworks such as:

- ROA
- Semantic
- Big Data

As well as Project Methodologies

Consulting

Excellent client facing the right candidate would be comfortable in a Pre and Post-Sale environment as well having excellent stakeholder management, influencing and evangelising skills.

The role

- Designs advanced conceptual, logical and physical data organisations, models, repository, dashboards, metadata, ETL specifications, reports, within a complete functional and technical architecture in keeping with customer requirements and market needs
- Leads POC activity, produces estimates for complex BI/Big Data projects and seeks budget for project execution from Senior internal stakeholders, working closely with the Product Management function in the preparation of supporting business cases
- Works closely other Architects, infrastructure and software development teams to define metadata layers, technical strategy and optimal integration within existing client IT landscape
- Focusses on Performance tuning and enforcing repository best practices. Ensure business access to adequate, understandable accurate data
- Acts as an expert providing consultancy support to Pre-Sales and Professional Services teams during initial customer engagement and throughout the customer relationship. Acting as a key communicator over BI Product Strategy, developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the Sopra Banking business and the customer community
