Junior Management Accountant (AAT Part Qualified or studying towards)

Location: Camden NW1
Contract: 3 months - permanent (please only apply if you are seeking a permanent role)
Rate: £17 ph PAYE
Hours: Mon - Fri 9-5pm
Start date: ASAP

My client, a property management organisation, are looking for a Junior Management Accountant to assist for a 2 month minimum within their accounting team. Ideally we are looking for an Accounts assistant who is AAT qualified, part qualified or studying towards an accounts qualification.

Job Purpose

* Produce the management accounts for any and all parts of the business
* Support, and work closely with the finance business partner team to provide financial information as required, including financial reports on transactions, ledger reports, and information on individual accounting entries such as accruals, provisions, and other financial data.
* Ensure that accounting records are at all times correct and complete
* Load all approved budgets and forecasts in to the finance system
* Assist in the maintenance and improvement of all financial systems and policies
* Undertake other financial administration as required

Principle Responsibilities

* Ensure all accounting entries are processed in an accurate and timely manner
* Ensure accurate monthly management accounts are produced in-line with agreed timeframes
* Produce all financial information and reports as required by the finance business partner team
* Load the annual budgets in to the finance system
* Update management account forecasts in the finance system as required
* To prepare journals for accrued income, prepayments and other required entries on a monthly basis.
* Prepare and post monthly salary journals to the General Ledger ensuring transactions are correctly coded.
* Assist with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and working papers within the agreed time scales in time for the annual external audit.
* Support the production of certificates for funders are prepared and audited in accordance with the relevant authority's request.
* Assist in the delivery of benchmarking data, contributing to the interpretation of the outcomes.
* Keep up to date with Financial Reporting Standards, SORPs, Inland Revenue and HCA requirements


* Previous experience working as a Junior Management Accountant
* Experience of working collaboratively across teams
* Recent experience of budgeting, forecasting and critically analysing outputs
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Good excel knowledge
