Our client requires a bookkeeper (working in a department of 4) to take on this very busy role of inputting tasks and understanding what you are writing to clients along with lots of corresponding with other departments. This is an extremely busy environment and you will need to ensure certain tasks are done on a daily basis

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Sales ledger duties;
  • Daily bank reconciliations;
  • Bank transfers;
  • Processing employee expenses;
  • Issuing credit control emails;
  • Issuing statements;
  • Answering emails;
  • Liaising with external finance departments and customers;
  • Assisting with other ad hoc office duties as required.
  • Purchase ledger duties;
  • Processing invoices and credit cards
  • Processing purchase orders;
  • Processing supplier forms;
  • Updating records;

Skills required for the role:-

  • Flexible with good work ethic and willing to help out where necessary in all functions of the account department
  • Able to deal with high volume input
  • Proficient user of Sage Line 50
  • Sage 200 would be advantageous
  • Microsoft Office
  • Adhere to existing accounting procedures
  • Hours of work - 9.00 - 5.00 with an hour for lunch
  • Basic state pension
  • Twenty days per year annual leave. You will receive an additional day’s leave after each complete year of service up to a maximum of twenty-five days’ annual leave after five years’ service. During the first year of employment, leave is calculated on a monthly pro rata basis from start date
