About the Team:
This role is within our Revenue Assurance team, which is a key part of Finance Operations. The team works across O2 to ensure accurate, timely, and complete customer (and partner) billing and to ensure that 3rd party costs are adequately controlled. Meeting these objectives will ensure that O2 deliver an excellent Customer Experience whilst assuring that revenue is billed and collected in an efficient manner.
The key purpose of the Enterprise cost analyst role is to complete analysis on supplier invoices mainly in the non-mobile ICT space, allocate circuits and hardware costs to each enterprise customer to compare against revenue, and enable calculation of actual margin over the life of an Enterprise contract.
The analyst will complete analysis on incurred costs from each supplier, flagging any evidence of discrepancies to vendor and product managers, to enable dispute.
The analyst will also identify where costs have exceeded original forecasts in contract commercial calculations, investigate root cause and flag to account management team & commercial finance.
-Complete analysis on varied data sets from billing systems and supplier invoices, to identify and summarise issues with a revenue/margin impact.
-Compare actual costs incurred at customer level, for each supplier used and compare with forecasted cost in original contract commercials/initial bid.
-Look for root cause and process failure leading to differences in expected and actual costs. Summarise these findings.
-Engage with vendor management to understand agreements with suppliers
-Work with cross functional teams spanning Marketing, Sales & Finance to flag and resolve issues identified, which affect revenue and margin in the Enterprise space.
-Document processes used whilst completing this work.
-Gather supporting evidence and flag any incorrectly incurred charges from suppliers to vendor managers and product owners to enable dispute.
-Effective reporting by producing daily/weekly/monthly reports to provide summary of work completed and findings at a senior level.
-Acting as an effective business partner by working closely with key cross-functional teams and system experts across the business.
Skills & experience:
-Strong data analysis and confidence in handling large and varied sets of data
-Proficient in: Microsoft Excel - Macros, Look-ups, indexing. Sql and access databases
-Knowledge of Enterprise contracts and understanding of bid process.
-Experience of working with non-mobile products, knowledge of the processes and people involved.
-Good communications skills at all levels of the business.
-Experience of issue management, working within cross functional virtual teams to enable swift and customer focused resolution.
-Able to translate technical issues to non-technical audience and describing benefits
-Technical understanding of billing systems and understanding of non-mobile billing approaches for Enterprise customers.
-Self-motivated to learn about new non-mobile technical infrastructures product and services
-Ability and the confidence to challenge and question.
-Experience of financial reporting
-Collaboration across commercial, technical and sales functions.
