A reputable international insurance group are recruiting for a Business Analyst to provide support to the Mortgage & Credit commercial team in the London City office

Essential Job Functions:

Assist in preparing UW memos - input required from actuarial/local colleagues.
Tenders - assist in preparation /documentation to help win new deals.
New products - work on the development of new products, includes working with clients/brokers.
Research & analysis - research for new countries, opportunities, products on an ad-hoc basis. Occasionally, research is reported up to committees, colleagues etc. or even regulators.
MI Reporting - keep track of all MSR commercial activity and premium projections.
Annual MSR quota share reinsurance treaty - includes but not limited to: meeting with reinsurers/brokers throughout the year, information gathering and preparation of both the full renewal pack and the renewal presentation, handling subsequent queries/questions from reinsurers/brokers.
Work with Chief Underwriting Officer on ad hoc XOL and facultative placements.
Due diligence - assist Head of Underwriting/ Country Manager in reviewing the lending criteria and other relevant processes of potential new lender clients.
Respond to UK clients and senior management on requests for data, analysis of portfolios, management meeting packs and other ad-hoc information requests.
Implementation of new UK clients - coordinating functions within MSR to get from "go-ahead" to MP sign off.
Produce high quality, sometimes complex, data driven, power point presentations and other documentation to strict deadlines in order to support business development opportunities.
Provide input into sales process through researching and analysing prospects.
Assist in maintaining up-to-date client database of contacts, touch points, org charts, key financial metrics, and mortgage lending volumes, products and all commercial activity.
Manage, monitor and keep updated the various MSR websites and their content.
Work with commercial team to develop and maintain suitable material for use with external clients, including Banks, Building Societies and Reinsurance partners.
Work with the Chief Underwriting Officer on documentation for reinsurer meetings and renewals.
Work closely with other functional teams including Risk, Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting & Claims, Legal and Government Relations teams.
Providing assistance into the preparation of annual budgets
Contribute towards profitability, growth potential of existing clients and overall MSR commercial strategy.

Discreet and confidential handling of sensitive company and non-company information, contacts, data, records, and to conduct yourself appropriately at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

1-3 years of Analysis/Operations experience working in the Financial Services arena
Strong education - Ideally a graduate with a 2:1 Hons in a Business/Maths/Finance discipline
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and within a matrix organisation
