About the role

As one of our clinical safety officers you`ll play a key role in making sure we continue to deliver a safe clinical product to our customers. Your role will have two main elements - to actively look at ways in which we can continue to enhance our products to make sure clinical risk can be prevented as well as ensuring that should the situation arise, we take necessary action to ensure lessons learnt.

You`ll work with team across the business throughout the lifecycle of our products ensuring at every step we have a clear clinical safety case report. You`ll also be on hand to provide clinical safety information to relevant third parties and ensure all clinical documentation is maintained for the life of the product.

It`s really important you`re a great communicator as you`ll be responsible for joining up other areas of the group to make sure clinical safety is at the forefront of all our new developments all the while utilising and developing your clinical expertise.

You`ll be based at our Leeds office but may require to travel occasionally to our Bolton office

As our clinical safety officer you`ll be working closely with another clinical safety officer and a head of clinical safety. You`ll also work with our clinical governance coordinator and clinical governance officer who collectively design, build and implement the clinical decision support, clinical audit and data capture functionality for our systems. There`ll be plenty of business knowledge and support around you!

Who you are

  • currently registered as a UK health professional
  • clinical experience perhaps as a pharmacist,midwife or nurse/occupational health professional
  • understanding of how clinical safety issues can affect patients and customers
  • HSCIC Accredited Clinician status
  • any acute trust experience would be helpful is but not necessary
  • superb communication skills, both verbal and written
  • organised and methodical approach to work
