Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation systems)

Purpose of Role
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for all mechanical design aspects of a materials handling solution to a given specification, cost and timescale.
The key accountabilities are to ensure we interpret project layout and specification in to a final design layout and data list
You will generate unit cylce times; system throughput and general dimension requirements
You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings; specifications; bills of materials; and parts lists working with other members of the project teams to ensure no project hold ups occur (purchasing; project management; electrical design)
You will also be responsible for presenting regular updates
To be successful in this highly business critical and challenging position within Dematic you will:
You will have a (mechanical) engineering degree
Will have been involved in delivering mechanical engineering projects, ideally within warehousing / automation
Will have a proven track record of deliving projects with others . Able to work to a standardise and harmonize processes
Have substantial experience of AutoCAD
