Our client is a small well established construction business and due to continued growth they are now looking to recruit an experienced accounts professional to oversee all day to day accounting for the business as well as general management of the office.

This is a highly varied role where your duties will cover:

  • Recording supplier invoices, sales invoices/valuations and bank activity on Sage 50 Accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank account and major balance sheet codes
  • Weekly update of cash flow report to include forecast period
  • Fortnightly and Monthly Payroll on Sage 50 including HMRC RTI returns
  • Submission of CIS returns to HMRC and distribution of monthly statements to sub-contractors
  • Bank payments to sub-contractors/employees/suppliers as required
  • Maintenance of excel based records for property rental business
  • Manage credit control activities
  • Manage and file quarterly VAT returns
  • Assisting contracts manager in maintenance of training records
  • Provision of required health and safety/compliance information to clients
  • General office administration duties as required
  • Quarterly management accounts

You will need strong all round accounting experience as well as some experience of using Sage. Any exposure to the construction industry would also be beneficial. Interviews are ongoing so apply now.
