fdu is working with a Surrey based client to hire a Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). This is a complete blank sheet of paper, our client has no FP&A function, so you will be fully responsible (with the CFO and leadership team) for scoping, implementing and leading an FP&A function for this c£100m turnover multi-site business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implementation of appropriate financial reporting tools;
  • Building accurate real time business dashboards;
  • Developing rigorous automated, integrated forecasting tools and rolling reporting;
  • Developing and managing appropriate commercial, operational and financial KPIs;
  • Constructing and managing annual and five year financial models;
  • Deliver actionable monthly management packs to tight deadlines working closely with the Financial Controller;
  • Taking a collaborative approach to all parts of the business with the aim of driving cost efficiency and profitability analysis throughout the Company;
  • Working closely with the Commercial and Procurement departments to define pricing strategies and commercial contract terms;
  • Leading the annual planning and budgeting process;
  • Building and leading the FP&A team.

Profile:

  • Strong academic profile;
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with five + years post qualification experience;
  • Technically strong in the art and science of financial planning and its application to a business and operations;
  • Strong reporting systems knowledge;
  • Successful change management / financial transformation experience;
  • Technically strong in the art and science of financial planning and its application to a business and operations;
  • Strong Excel complex modelling skills;
  • A strong leadership profile, confident presenting at Board level.
