A leading events planning business

Description

  • Posting of Purchase Orders (PO) and allocating PO sequential numbers
  • Processing of supplier invoices on SAGE 200, ensuring invoices are correct and match POs
  • Query invoices with the business which do not match POs or comply with purchasing guidelines
  • Ensuring timely payment of deposit invoices
  • Produce payment runs for payments to suppliers and staff
  • Process employee expense claims and post to SAGE ensuring correct vat recovery
  • Produce sponsorship sales invoices from the internal sales order system and post to sage
  • Ensure all purchase ledger documentation is filed correctly and timely
  • Post petty cash to SAGE for Manchester and London offices ensuring correct coding
  • Manage the purchase ledger mailbox and dealing with any supplier correspondence
  • Assisting during the company's annual audit
  • Ensuring all costs for events and overheads are obtained and on SAGE prior to month end
  • Booking travel for employees and events from travel request forms in a timely manner
  • Investigating and liaising with customers regarding unallocated cash on SL accounts, compiling information for refunds where necessary
  • Assisting the Assistant Management Accountant and Management Accountant with any supporting accounting or finance activities

Profile

  • Experienced purchase ledger controller with excellent core processing accounting skills
  • Good working knowledge of Sage 200 AP and AR
  • Good Excel spreadsheet skills
  • Willing and able to work to deadlines
  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels across the business
  • Personal, friendly, approachable, adaptable and diligent
