Field Service Engineer / IT Support Engineer - Wintel, O365, Desktop, Cisco, LAN/WAN/VLAN. Permanent, Field Based (with office HQ based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent) £24k - £26k+ Oncall + Bonus + Company Van.
IT Outsource Consultancy currently seeks a Field Service Engineer / IT Support Engineer to be responsible for the implementation and support of desktop, server & network technologies on client sites across the South of England but largely focussed on the support of clients in London, South West London, Surrey and West Sussex and act as the focal point for escalated break-fix consultancy to be undertaken onsite.
We are searching for a candidate with a range of skills covering desktop, server and network infrastructure but with a solid understanding of Wintel Desktop/Server Infrastructure and LAN/WAN Networking.
Based in the field, you will be supplied with a company van) you will need to visit the company HQ from time to time which is based in Tunbridge Wells in Kent. As such, it is required that you live within an easy commute of both Tunbridge Wells, Kent and South London. You will large work on a number of projects for medium sized company infrastructure migrations and upgrades. You will be required to work in a small project implementation team and be involved with infrastructure changes and the implementation of new solutions and technology on customer's sites. Secondly, you will respond to support calls escalated from the helpdesk relating to desktop, network and server technologies (Laptops, PC's, Servers, Data Networks, VLANs and Virtualised Server environments), Windows Server issues such as user account creation and maintenance (Active Directory/Group Policy), MS Exchange and MS Office365 accounts and permissions as well as LAN/WAN/Wireless network connectivity problems.
We are searching for candidates who have acquired a combination of technical qualifications (from: A+, MCP, CCNA, MCSE, MCITP) combined with commercial experience within an IT support engineering capacity. You will be comfortable working with desktop and windows server (Windows Server 2008/2012/2016) and be able to troubleshoot user account issues in Active Directory & MS Exchange, MS Office 365. In addition you will be comfortable with Break-Fix duties covering HP, Dell, IBM Blade Servers etc as well as Cisco and/or Juniper Routers and Switches capable of building and supporting LAN/WAN/VLAN/VPN and Wireless Access networks.
