An exiting opportunity to join a growing engineering business as a technical specialist for their most profitable product stream. Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver solutions to a vast customer base.

Client Details

Michael Page have partnered with an engineering business with a global customer base who supply heavy industrial solutions bespoke to the customers needs. Operating out of European headquarters in South Yorkshire and with a footprint in Asia and the Americas this business is constantly researching and developing new technologies to better satisfy their customer base. Following the successful development of a new product stream this business are looking to add a Senior Project Engineer to grow the functionality and capability of their products and deliver multiple projects to the market.

Description

As the Project Engineer you will report directly to the Engineering Director and be ultimately responsible for delivering the mechanical aspects of all new projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

-Consultation with customers to understand their needs

-Lead groups of designers to deliver solutions to technical problems hindering project progress

-Drive project processes to ensure delivery to agreed time scales

-Lead the development of a key product stream to become the most successful in the business

Profile

As the Project Engineer you will be comfortable discussing technical matters with customers and be an effective communicator to non-technically minded individuals. You will be confident as a leader and have managed multi- disciplined project personnel previously.

The Ideal Project Engineer will:

-Hold a Degree or HND in a Mechanical Engineering discipline

-Have experience delivering capital projects, as a supplier or as a customer

-Be competent with Computer Aided Design tools, preferably with practical experience with Solidworks.

-Experience within Heavy Industry, preferably with exposure to materials handling equipment, fabrication and metals processing
