Payroll Team Leader
Take pride in yourself and your team
If you ask our people what they like about working at William Hill, you'll get all sorts of weird and wonderful answers. But if we're honest, one of the best things about any job is getting paid the right money on the right day of the month. So for most of us, it's a big deal if our pay doesn't look right.
To keep things running smoothly, we need an experienced Payroll Team Leader. We're setting up a brand new team in our Leeds City Centre office, so this is a great time for you to establish yourself in our new HR Shared Service.
With around 15,000 employees in our UK shops and offices, our payroll is complex, and can be challenging. You'll look after a team who administer all aspects of pay, including tax code calculations, statutory payments, sickness, maternity, leavers, and everything else that you'd expect a large and diverse workforce to need.
You'll lead and motivate your team to give a great service to their colleagues. At times, the pace of work can be pretty frenetic, so your ability to help them focus and produce great work under pressure will help you all achieve your goals.
We'd like you to bring us experience of leading a team in a very fast paced, high volume payroll team. Your team will need guidance, and you'll have to keep a close eye on quality. You'll already be familiar with statutory payments, tax codes and ideally working with a Time and Attendance system. We're launching a new HR / Payroll system called SAP SuccessFactors this summer, so if you've got experience using this or any other Cloud based Payroll system it'll be an advantage.
Here you'll find a friendly, supportive culture and colleagues who'll help you learn about our business.
Our Leeds City Centre office has great public transport links plus shops and places to socialise on your doorstep. Our benefits include 25 days holiday plus a day for your birthday, pension and the chance to grow your career in an international company.
We all work hard but like to have fun, and we'd love you to be involved. We're all in this together, and we're looking forward to welcoming our new Payroll Team Leader into the team.
