The Role:

We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Sales Consultant to join our successful team in Manchester.

We are looking for candidates who have experience within a similar field based intermediary sales role within Pensions insurance, or candidates currently working within the same industry but in an account management / internal sales role.

Key Responsibilities:


The main purpose is to deliver agreed new business targets from a panel of intermediaries in a manner that satisfies all regulatory and compliance responsibilities and meets our corporate objectives.

  • Deliver personal sales targets from a panel of Intermediaries
  • Develop new intermediary relationships
  • To deliver sales presentations to Intermediaries promoting new and existing sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • Work with Intermediaries ensuring an excellent and professional service is provided.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience within a similar field sales intermediary sales roles within Financial services, ideally within Pension Insurance
  • Proven track record of delivery sales
  • Ability to discuss industry issues at the appropriate level
  • Experience in a face to face sales role is preferable although telephone sales experience would also be considered for the right candidate
  • FPC 1, 2, 3 or equivalent
  • R01 and R05 qualifications - Desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Good planning and organisational ability
