Higher Level Teaching Assistant, HLTA, Competitive Salary to start after Easter, East Sussex.

Your new school
You will be working in a nurturing environment as an HLTA in a school that aims to develop children's self-confidence and enable them to have a positive educational career. This school has a supportive staff team who are looking to bring an exceptional HLTA onto their staff team after Easter 2018.

Your new role
As an HLTA you will be integral to the planning of lessons and development of the curriculum, including the planning and developing of educational resources. You will regularly be taking classes to allow teachers to have PPA time, and during these you will be required to provide detailed written and verbal feedback and assessments. When required you will run intervention groups for struggling students and work independently with those you identify who need your support. You will assist in the writing of IEPs and oversee the implementation of these. Furthermore you will manage a team of Teaching Assistants, providing guidance and mentoring when appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
You must hold your HLTA qualification and have relevant and recent experience of working as an HLTA within the British National Curriculum. You will be confident at planning and delivering lessons and able to work closely with other teaching staff and senior leadership. You will have the skills to help shape the curriculum and be experienced at managing a team of Teaching Assistants. You will be a strong communicator, very organised and able to bring strong IT skills into the classroom. You must have in depth knowledge of the National Curriculum and child development. You will be a creative individual with an innovative approach to education.
