We are keen to secure a Technology Architect to work in large offices in Cambridge for a global organisation, a permanent job with a newly established senior team, delivering solutions at an enterprise level to UK, European, US and Asian customers.
What will you be doing as the Technology Architect?
Firstly, joining this new team you will be establishing a function for the entire IT business, this team will be responsible for the coordination and governance of Global IT across application, technology, data and business.
Creating processes and policies and instilling controls to support architecture that can deliver the IT needs and ensure they are aligned with Global IT standards and strategies.
What skills do I need as Technology Architect?
As the Technology Architect:
You will be able to pull together a datacentre/cloud roadmap for the transition from current to future architecture solutions
Have comprehensive knowledge of macro trends that could have an impact on the Global IT plans and strategies
Exhibit experience of creating a strategy/recommendations for technical change based on high-level analysis of business drivers and being able to withstand challenge.
Exposure to IT Security and Risk standards and methods
Experience of working with UK and overseas clients and vendors
Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise at senior levels
Demonstrate hands on experience of these skills in a large scale enterprise arena

Do I need to be qualified in COBIT or TOGAF?
These skills are desirable, however, if you can show relevant experience then we want to hear from you.
Do I need a relevant degree?
Preferably you will possess a degree in an IT or related field, though the ability to demonstrate previous technical proficiency is as important.
