Cidari Multi Academy Trust (part of the Diocese of Blackburn) and the Governing Body of Darwen St James’ C of E Primary Academy are seeking to appoint an individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering the highest standards. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for the estates and facilities management throughout the school. You will make sure that all statutory premises-related requirements are met and that our school is safe, welcoming, well-maintained and a immaculately presented place to study and work.

Salary:NJC Grade D SCP 15 - 19 £17,072 - £18,746 - 25 H/PW/ 52 Weeks Per Year

Other Information

You will be expected to:

  • Provide an effective caretaking service.
  • Supervise cleaning staff, working alongside the team to ensure that the school is clean and well maintained.
  • Carry out security procedures for the school and grounds.
  • Be responsible for routine and emergency access to the school premises and grounds.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the main Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Maintain the Academy ICT system for premises management.
  • Be committed to professional development and improving yourself and others.

Duty Hours

25 hours per week with the working day in term time normally to be worked between the core time of 6.30am - 8.30am and 3.00pm - 6.00pm. (Monday to Friday). Flexibility to cover meetings with contractors will be required.

Overtime will be paid for emergency call outs and any school lettings involving extra hours out of school time, based on the hourly rate of the Site Supervisor’s salary.
