Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for factory and buildings is needed for this first-class, medium sized business supplying premium fresh and frozen products UK and World Wide - the role will typically be 60% electrical and 40% mechanical.
This is a Monday to Friday role based on a 45-hour working week and an hourly rate of £12.50 per hour - extra hours will also be paid due to the nature of the role.
OUR CLIENT has multiple site in the UK and Internationally and are continually looking to expand their already very successful business that prides itself on high ethical sourcing and processing standards by focusing on achieving a Zero Carbon Footprint and the introduction of Wind Turbines.
THE JOB will report into the Lead Maintenance Engineer and is responsible for planned and remedial maintenance activities of both production equipment and buildings.
Key responsibilities will include:
·Establishing a Planned Preventative Maintenance program
·Fault diagnosis and remedial actions
·Commissioning of new equipment
·Prioritisation of work and management of spares
·Special projects including focused projects in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects to minimise down time.
This is food manufacturing environment so following food standard processes (BRC) and procedures, documentation of works etc is critical as well as following stringent Health & Safety & Hygiene procedures.
THE CANDIDATE will ideally have:
·Electrical and Mechanical skills and qualifications
·Strong factory and buildings maintenance background
·Ability to work in cool working environments
·Flexible on working hours
This is a Monday to Friday role with 26 days holiday and 2 bank holidays over Xmas and New Year period - all other bank holidays are treated as normal working days due to the nature of their business.
