Permanent finance assistant job in Lanarkshire
Your new company
Our client, in the communication industry, are currently looking for a finance assistant to join them on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As a finance assistant your role will be very varied, however, your main responsibilities will include: running the purchase ledger, including processing invoices, and matching and coding POs, processing expenses and responding to queries from the accounts payable inbox. You will also have responsibility for some sales ledger duties, daily cash postings and updating the fixed asset register. As well as this, you will be regularly updating information on excel.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will be an experienced finance assistant, with the ability to work on your own initiative. This role will involve liaising with internal and external customers, so you will have excellent communication skills. You must have experience in a similar role, where you had had responsibility for both the sales and purchase ledger, and have an ability to work on more generalised finance tasks. You will also have the ability to use excel to an intermediate level and other Microsoft Office packages, and sage 200.
