Learning Support Assistant

I am looking to appoint an experienced LSA to work primarily on a 1:1 basis with a child who has ASD needs within a school in Bromley. If you are an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about your job, you will be ideal for the role.
As you will be working with ASD students you will need to possess outstanding communication skills, and be sensitive towards the students' needs. This role can be very challenging, so patience is key.
The school itself is a fantastic school, with a supportive senior leadership team helping you to develop within your career as well as being there to guide you whilst providing the best possible education for each child through student centred, stimulating and enjoyable learning.

The chosen candidate must have experience with looking after children or a range of special needs including ASD, EBD, PMLD, SLD, ADHD or learning difficulties.
You will work closely with the Class Teacher following an (IEP), Individual Education Plan. You must be able to engage, motivate and put boundaries in place as well as monitoring, being supportive and compassionate to the needs of the child.
In this role, you will also be assisting the Classroom Teacher with general TA duties as well as helping children to overcome needs that may affect their learning.
All candidates MUST have a DBS to be considered for this role.
