This is a great opportunity to take your existing information security experience and apply it as part of a dynamic team within a market leading FTSE100 Financial Services company.

Located in our central Bristol office you will be a member of a large but highly collaborative IT department.

You will need to have a genuine passion for security and the desire to learn and enhance your own ability.

What will the role involve?

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of security and a good level of understanding of information security risk management. They will be an integral part of the team and a good level of knowledge across three or more of the following areas is required for the role: - access controls, web application security, data classification and handling, 3rd party security, security incident response, security training/awareness, security risk management and cryptographic techniques.

We are looking for a pragmatic individual with a clear view on how to apply security across the whole business through working with key stakeholders. At minimum the successful candidate will have spent two to three years working in a security related role in a medium to large organisation.

What will you be responsible for?

You will be involved in all Information Security activities including:

Applying Security Policy and associated processesWorking with the project delivery lifecycle to help ensure projects deliver secure solutions that meet defined security principlesAssisting in the delivery of the information security awareness and training programCarrying out third party security reviews and auditsWorking as part of the security incident response escalation process, taking remedial action if requiredCarrying out on-going access reviews and ensure authorisation of access changes occursEssential Skills & Experience:

A relevant security qualification such as CISSP/CISM/CEHProficient in security aspects of multiple computer hardware and operating systems including Windows, Unix; networks: TCP/IP, switches, routers and firewallsKnowledge of the key techniques involved in defending an organisation against common exploits and attack methodsHave been actively involved in improving the security culture of an organisationDesirable Skills & Experience:

ISO27001 Lead Implementer or AssessorDemonstrable knowledge of secure software design standardsExperience of working within the financial services industryGood working knowledge of PCI-DSSHargreaves Lansdown is an inclusive working environment and values diversity in its workforce.
