Our client based in Farnham has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant and machinery including; machine tools both manual and CNC, lathes, vertical milling centres, large horizontal milling centres, injection moulding machines, die casting machines, as well as a wide variety of manufacturing plant, as well as facilities maintenance both electrical & mechanical.

The Company: Our client is a privately owned business operating from three manufacturing and assembly sites in the Hampshire Surrey area. The company produces a range of pneumatic control equipment and rotary dampers. Founded in 1958 the company has a reputation of high quality standards and products with a long service life.

Job Role:
  • Performing planned maintenance on machines within the production area across all 3 assembly sites
  • Undertaking preventative maintenance by continually observing machinery and pre-empting any upcoming repairs
  • Fault finding and running diagnostics to establish the root cause of any problems
  • Responding quickly and efficiently to break downs ensuring down time is kept to a minimum and little disruption is caused to production
  • Liaising daily with the Works Manager to discuss priorities and planning any upcoming requirements
  • Completing other maintenance tasks detailed on the companies ERP system
  • Ensuring all electrical/mechanical tasks are carried out in a safe manner adhering to the companies Health & Safety procedures
Preferred skills:
  • Fully Qualified 17th Edition Electrician with Mechanical Engineering Experience
  • Experience working within a production/manufacturing environment
  • Excellent Mechanical Engineering skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • IT literate
  • Ability to work unsupervised or as a part of a small multi-disciplined team
Associated benefits:
  • Working hours Monday - Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am-3.30pm
  • Salary circa 40k per annum depending on experience
  • Annual leave 25 days plus 8 bank holidays per annum (personal allowance raises to 26 days after 5 full years of service
