Legal Administration Manager
We are looking for an enthusiastic legal office administrator to help run a new start-up legal practice (specialising in commercial property) in central London, initially with two solicitors.
The person is expected to have strong organisational skills with good attention to detail as well as excellent IT and numeracy skills. There is an opportunity to be an integral part of a new growing business.
Duties will include billing clients, paying invoices, banking (including BACS payments), inter account transfers, bank reconciliations, and general data entry on the company’s legal case management and accounting software (Osprey - training will be given).
The person will also manage the petty cash, VAT returns and monthly payroll with PAYE returns. They will also handle SDLT submissions and land returns.
In addition, the person will ensure that document and procedure compliance is maintained and produce financial reports for management from Osprey.
Filing and scanning of documents and general office duties will also be required.
Previous experience in a legal firm is preferred and any legal administration qualification considered positively. Knowledge of conveyancing procedure and dealing with Land Registry would be an advantage. Knowledge of Osprey Legal Cloud would be a benefit.
An annual salary of £33-35,000 is anticipated with normal office hours and 20 days per year holiday.
