Retail Analyst, Asia
Our client has successfully evolved into a multi-channel operation that continues to deliver the highest quality information for the consumer food industry on a global basis. As part of their expansion programme they are now keen to recruit a Retail Analyst to play a key role the companys' growing Asian retail research programme, delivering high quality insight on a variety of exciting retailers and markets across the region.
As part of the remit you will be a major contributor to Asian content on the company website and carry out primary research across the region. You will track and deliver insightful reports on retail market developments across Asia, providing actionable insights on the grocery markets. You will track market developments through visits to new store concepts and regular meetings with both retailers and manufacturers across Asia. Another regular aspect to the role will be developing and presenting customised content to key decision makers within the grocery sectors based in the region, operating cross functionally with other internal teams where relevant.
Liaising closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, you will have a collaborative personal style, be commercial and possess good analytical and presentation ability. A good understanding of new techniques, tools and developments would be useful, coupled with experience in the Asian market. It is likely you will currently be working within either a retail multiple, FMCG manufacturer or consultancy, possess a good understanding of the key Asian retailers, future trends and growth opportunities within the sectors. You will be comfortable working with numbers and mining data and possess good communication and presentation abillity.
