Our client has an opportunity for a Regional Support Officer to help them organise events, engage communities and help people with diabetes improve the NHS in the North West Region. This is a part time role for a fixed term contract. You will receive a competitive salary pro rata of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum plus excellent benefits including flexible working.

About the role

You will be a key member of our client’s team, working closely with volunteering colleagues. If you have experience of office administration, organising events, and engaging communities, then they would like to hear from you.

The role will be based at their office in Warrington. The role is for two days per week - Mondays and Tuesdays. The role is initially offered for a six month period as part of a job share trial but it is expected that, if these arrangements prove successful, the post can be made permanent.

The Regional Support Officer duties and key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for making sure the North West region office runs effectively and efficiently.

You will be the first point of contact for information and support services for the North West region for people with diabetes, their families and carers, for healthcare professionals and for the general public.

You will be responsible for the organisation and smooth running of a number of events in the region including venue and delegate management, promotion and evaluation.

You will coordinate and provide one to one management of general office volunteers.

You will assist the Regional Head to review monthly management accountants and take appropriate action to rectify any discrepancies.

You will provide basic IT support within the Regional Office, working with central office IT department as needed.

Prioritise and manage a varied workload efficiently

Work in a small team to help deliver activities and projects

Communicate with a range of different audiences

Using organisational databases

Organising events from finding venues to delivery

Working with volunteers

Flexibility with working hours - evenings and occasional weekends.
