UK/US Dual Handling Assistant Tax Manager - Central London

Job Overview

We are looking for a private client UK/US Assistant Tax Manager to help run a team within the international private client group.

Candidates must have experience of dealing with High Net Worth Clients and Personal Tax coupled with a broad UK/US tax knowledge. EA and ATT required. CTA is preferred, but not essential. Role will be made up of compliance and advisory. Management skills are also key as you would be expected to assist in the management of more junior staff.

Staff Management / Team Responsibility

The successful candidate should have strong organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage, develop and motivate staff. Technical skills are obviously important, but this position also requires resilience and a team orientated and flexible personality. The ability to use their own initiative is essential. The role requires strong communications skills and the ability to relay technical information to clients in a straight forward manner. In addition, they should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements.

The individual must also be able to market his/her skills and those of the firm, both on a one-to-one basis and in presentations.

Education & Experience

We are looking for a private client US/UK assistant tax manager to work within the international private client group.

Candidates must have experience with High Net Worth personal tax and have a broad UK/US tax knowledge. EA and ATT and CTA preferred although not vital. Role will be a split of compliance and advisory.

The individual must have dealt with a range of tax issues appropriate to our client base of private and corporate clients. They should have relevant experience at Manager level dealing with all aspects of compliance and planning.

Previous experience of using computerised tax packages is essential.

Salary & Benefits

  • Circa. £40,000 -£48,000 Negotiable + Generous Benefits.
  • Salary reviewed annually.
