Hamlin Knight is delighted to be working alongside one of South Yorkshire's premier businesses in the recruitment of an Accounts/Finance Assistant for its busy site. This role is based in Sheffield and is very commutable from such areas as Barnsley, Sheffield and Doncaster.

Due to expansion my client is looking for an Accounts/Finance Assistant to join the team. This would suit either an experienced Finance/Accounts Assistant who has worked within a busy finance office or a junior finance candidate who is looking for progression. The ideal candidate will have a financial qualification or be well on the way to achieving one.

The Role:

Supporting the Finance Manager/ Financial Controller with the following:

- Month End Closing & Report running
- Purchase Ledger
- Sales Ledger
- Monthly P&L Analysis & Budget Tracking
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Bank Posting & Reconciliations
- Daily Cash Flow Forecasts
- VAT Returns
- Import Documentation Review and Reconciliation
- Sole responsibility for accounts of Associated Companies / Partnerships
- Ad-Hoc Reporting for Senior Management

The Candidate:

- Good Excel Skills
- Experience of working in a busy accounts department
- Willingness to Learn and take responsibility
- Attention to Detail
- Can do attitude
- Self motivated
