Our client who is a key player within the Plant Hire sector are looking to hire a strong General Manager for their Glasgow hub.
Our client is a key player in the large plant hire sector within depots throughout the UK, known for their high quality customer care and equipment.
The General Manager will take complete responsibility of the operational requirements within the Glasgow depot to include all aspects relating to safe, efficient, economical operations with a continued focus on customer service and development of individuals within the depot.
- Full Profit & Loss responsibility, monitor the depots budget in line with the requirements of the business, ensuring that the budget for the depot is effectively managed at all times.
- Build and develop sales opportunities & financial performance of the depot to manage operating costs and drive growth
- Drive a culture of Health, Safety & Environmental compliance within depot so that policy and procedure are implemented and followed.
Critically review depot operational effectiveness, challenge productivity and performance.
Monitor and report on KPI's and deport performance, identify areas for improvement taking immediate action to meet the targets.
Lead, motivate and develop staff to to achieve a high performing team. Use coaching and mentoring to challenge staff and constantly build and develop their skills.
For this role you must have;
Proven track record in General Manager roles or Depot Manager roles.
Must have managed a large work force.
Must have experience managing full P&L's
Ideally experience in Plant Hire.
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
Experience in managing and maintaining equipment.
Salary up to £40k + car + benefits
