To assist the Group Cashiers Manager and the bank reconciliation section in the day to day management of the teams to achieve operational objectives and to improve business processes.

- Ensure that all internal and external service levels are met.
- Improve business processes and efficiency by driving continuous development projects
- Ensure that direct reports are developed through training, meetings, appraisals and performance management.
- Supervise the bank reconciliation team to agreed procedures are met, periodically reviewed and updated, deadlines met and queries resolved within accepted time frames.
- Be the first escalation point for issues raised by the on shore and off shore teams

- Experience in accounting, especially a good understanding of double entry book keeping and bank reconciliation
- Understanding of accounting systems (SAP is preferable but not essential)
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Able to prioritise
- Experience in managing people
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Team player with a can-do attitude
- Flexible approach to work and priorities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
