Dynamic, confident and driven hands-on marketer needed for this newly created position with the world’s largest student affinity network, designed to transform our partner marketing approach to membership acquisition and sales enablement.
Reporting to EMEA Marketing Director, this is a role for someone who thrives on a challenge; a commercial marketer who can inspire teams across the business to adopt a new approach to planning our partner’s campaigns, and align key stakeholders in the Commercial team.
The Partner Marketing Manager will develop a deep understanding of partner needs and create strategies to deliver against them. Through research and insight, the Partner Marketing function will elevate partnerships so that UNiDAYS is integrated into every part of their business, developing UNiDAYScampaigns to help our partners unlock the value of their student programme.
Day To Day ResponsibilitiesThis role is for a self-starter and driven individual, who has the ambition to make a real mark on a business, and create and shape a sales enabling function that is critical to the delivery of our revenue targets across our portfolio of commercial products.

The objectives of the Senior Partner Marketing Manager are to support:

Member and perk engagement growth through partner sites - by providing the Partnership Development team with case studies that drive partners to promote the UNiDAYS student programme

Revenue growth - by enabling our Commercial team to better address our partners’ strategic direction by developing balanced partnerships that are less reliant on affiliate and boosted discounts

You will develop a deep understanding of UNiDAYS partner products beyond student verification and affiliate sales, including our ad solutions, retail, events and branded content. You will also develop a deep understanding of our verticals’ category dynamics, and of our existing partners and prospects’ needs.

You will be the glue between our Partnership Development and Marketing teams, helping us turn our brilliant ideas into amazing commercial opportunities by:

Creating case studies and sales tools that demonstrate the value of the UNiDAYS student programme, encouraging them to deliver a better member experience and promote UNiDAYS through their channels

Devising and overseeing the development of compelling go-to-market sales material that drive partner investment

Supporting the Partnership Development Team with selling campaign opportunities into partners

Ensuring our audiences, products and value proposition are well understood by our Partnership Development team and partners

Delivering all of our commercial opportunities in a clear and compelling way through UNiDAYS campaigns

Supporting the selling of our ad solutions offering, and introduce new products and innovative opportunities for partners to the Partnership Development Team

Briefing and managing the development or relevant campaign assets

Providing post analysis reports for all campaigns, working with the Data Science team to implement tracking and reporting

You will be a commercially minded marker with a creative streak. You will need to work closely with the Partnership Development team to understand what our partners needs are. This will ensure you are always creating compelling and relevant campaigns that meet the needs of our entire partner base while satisfying the needs of our members,

You will possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be curious and inquisitive, and be driven by a genuine desire to drive results and beat expectations.

Other responsibilities include:

Working with the Partner Acquisition and Partner Development teams to devise partner strategies for key growth verticals

Lead the development of compelling seasonal campaign sell-in presentations to drive seasonal partner investment and achieve revenue targets

Working closely with the Retail team to enhance in-store sales

Attending and contributing to key partner meetings, to deliver best in class partner engagement, and plan ahead to maximise returns for UNiDAYS and partners.

Ensuring the UNiDAYS promotional calendar is sync’d with partners’ marketing plans and promotional activity, to maximise conversions.

Hire, manage and grow the Partner Marketing team (up to 5 direct reports by the end 2018)

This is a crucial and high-profile position within the EMEA marketing team, and an opportunity for the right individual to shape a new function within UNiDAYS’ largest region, leading with the UK; demonstrating its value to the business and becoming a thought leader within the global organisation.

Desired skills and experience

5+ years of partner marketing, campaign marketing or commercial product development experience

Proven experience supporting a large sales team with campaign development, product introduction and/or product development

Demonstrable experience of working effectively with and influencing Commercial functions

Comfortable handling different marketing objectives such as brand, engagement and conversion, and what metrics are used to measure performance against these objectives

Highly numerate, with a passion for data, insight and web / social analytics, and with good data visualisation skills

Strong leadership skills and influencing skills at all levels

A team player, able to perform in cross-functional teams

A creative thinker and problem solver

Experience at a major digital publisher a bonus

Ideally with a background and/or passion for selling against a youth, millennial or student audience

Strong presentation and communication skills

Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint

Must be comfortable working in a fast-pace environment. UNiDAYS is a high growth business that may not have all the tools needed, so creativity and resourcefulness are essential
