We are currently looking for a QC Technician on a 5 month contract to join a rapidly expanding pharmaceutical company who is based in the Surrey area.

As the QC Technician you will be responsible for supporting and preparing the QC laboratory and the technologists in the smooth running of the laboratory processes. This job will be based in the analytical quality control laboratory.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the QC Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Carry out stock checks for laboratory and reagents and maintain stock lists whilst assisting with housekeeping in the analytical QC laboratory.

2. Receive and book in delivered consumables and reagents and placing orders for routine orders as well as one off items.

3. Calibration and scheduled maintenance of analytical equipment, routine QC testing and disposal of toxic, hazardous and non-hazardous waste generated within the laboratory.

4. As the QC Technician, you will ensure the GMP documentation practises are followed when completing the necessary documentation.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the QC Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Proven industry experience working as a technician in a GMP laboratory environment, ideally gaining experience within pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, food or FMCG / cosmetics.

2. Proven industry experience in using standard analytical laboratory equipment such as pH meters, balances and pipettes.

3. Ability to prioritise and manage time to meet deadlines, organise personal workload and the ability to display flexibility to deal with changing priorities.
