ProClinical is working with a growth biotechnology organisation focused on rare diseases are looking to appoint a Data Privacy and GDPR expert to work closely with the Head of international compliance. This role can be based in a choice of EU locations.
You will be an expert within data protection in any industry (ideally Pharma or Biotech) and ideally be legally qualified. On offer is an opportunity to work at the forefront of key legislation in a vibrant and inclusive environment. This role will aid the Head of Compliance International/Global Data Privacy Officer in relation to the data protection obligations. To act as the project manager for the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulations. Responsible for oversight of affiliates, distributors and vendors, and customers to meet the data protection requirements. Reports to the Head of Compliance International/Global Data Privacy Officer.

Job Responsibilities:

* Work with the Head of Compliance International in management and implementation of data protection compliance especially all GDPR's requirements
* Implementation of the Privacy Impact Assessment tool and ensuring that the PIAs are of high quality, reflect current business risks and are in compliance with current EU legislation.
* Ensure mitigation plan to be in place/ corrective actions are undertaken and implemented on the affiliate level
* Ensure the collection of data privacy Notice and Consent
* Work on training slides and conduct training session on data protection
* Manage data privacy mail box,
* Conduct data privacy investigations, if needed,
* Working with legal to ensure appropriate data protection clauses/language is included in the contracts with the vendors. distributors and other customers
* Provide data privacy reporting training to affiliates, vendors and distributors when required
* Ensure reporting training procedure and slide set content is up to date

Skills and Requirements:

* Experience in the area of data protection
* Legal degree
* Knowledge of pharma industry
* Experience working in a global capacity
* Experience with interaction with data protection authorities eg. ICO
* Experience in leading projects to successful completion in a variety of environments.
* Ability to deal with confidential and/or sensitive information
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations.
* Excellent interpersonal, team management and leadership skills required
