Your new company

I am in a continuing partnership with a well recognised primary school in Cheltenham that prides itself on strong results and a fun learning atmosphere. The new primary school in the Cheltenham area is well established and encourages a happy, lively and successful school atmosphere for the children.

Your new role
In your new role as school receptionist you will be the first point of contact for all stakeholders communicating with the school. This includes parents, governors and the council. It is therefore vital that you come across as well presented and articulate. You will be working regularly with SIMS so previous work experience within a school is essential. You'll be:

  • Dealing with parent and staff queries
  • Taking morning calls for staff absences
  • Liaising with the office manager regarding student data
  • Updating SIMS database
  • Liaising with other schools regarding student transitions
  • Passing on queries to staff members including the Head Teacher.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, previous experience within the school office is essential and a good working knowledge of the SIMS database is also a prerequisite. You will also have first class organisational and administrative skills, as well as a friendly but professional manner when dealing with internal and external stakeholders. To thrive in this fun environment, you will also need to have working knowledge of schools, term times, and general knowledge of the education sector also. Experience of the school office is a must.

What you'll get in return
This is a chance to work in a happy and personable educational setting, with good experience guaranteed. The role will be supported by the office manager and you will become a vital part of the school office. In reward for our staff's hard work and commitment we provide competitive rates of pay, a refer a friend scheme, long term and permanent job opportunities, a dedicated consultant and an honest and trustworthy approach that matches you to the right school.
