AUTOMOTIVE APPRENTICE TECHNICAL TRAINER

As an Automotive Apprentice Technical Trainer you will develop and deliver training programmes for funded apprentices to enable them to achieve their NVQ qualification. Trainers will provide apprenticeship framework training for groups of up to 12 apprentices within their apprenticeship. Training will be in automotive repair and maintenance within the courses the successful candidate will be delivering.
This role would suit candidates who have held a senior role within a workshop either in an independent or franchised organisation. This is a great role for candidates to take a step across in to a training role from working within a workshop.
We are looking for candidates to have hold Level 3 IMI Diploma Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or relevant demonstrable experience. To ensure course delivery is done within the required methods the successful candidate will have training in the teaching methodology used. We are looking for candidates to be able to clearly communicate, motivate and develop the apprentices on each course. Candidates will need to have a proven track record of consistently achieving performance targets, with experience of imparting technical training to junior members of the workshop team.
The role is a key part of the training we provide to the apprentices. Trainers will be expected build and maintain strong business relationships with key members of the team. These contacts will include key members of the client team, apprentices within their training courses and the Babcock training delivery team. Trainers are expected to ensure that all documentation in support of the training and reporting the completion of the training by apprentices are maintained. Monitoring all apprentices in accordance with their framework pathway
