Elec-Tech are currently seeking an experienced QA Engineer with Embedded Systems experience, working for a company leading the way with standards in control and applications to the connected world. At the start of a rapid expansion period, they are looking to add to their already highly experienced team with both top software and hardware sector experience.
The QA Engineer will work specifically within the scope of Embedded Systems, and be responsible for the design and development activities associated with methods for validating networking products and broader solutions. In addition, the candidate will prepare test and diagnostic programs, design test fixtures and test tools, and complete validation specifications along with procedures for new changes to existing products.
This role is based out of Central London, with regular contact with the cloud engineering team based in the US and across Europe.

THE ROLE:•Develop and document test plans/test cases for newly developed or existing networking products.•Develop test tools and automation for testing.•Directs test execution, and reports results to development engineers and leadership.•Providing test strategies and comprehensive test plans for new hardware, firmware and solutions products.•Oversee the execution and reports the results of product validation on new networking products.•Work across multiple departments and organisations to develop comprehensive test plans and tests coverage across multiple test organizations.•Manages and reports on test deliverables and test execution.
REQUIREMENTS:•Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent in proven ability and experience.•5+ years of experience in automated testing of systems software for network-based products and environments.•Experience in testing a variety of networking protocols. Exposure to Bluetooth or a similar low-powered wireless stack is highly desirable, though not a requirement.•Strong experience in Linux OS Environments•Strong experience in scripting languages/tools, preferably Python and Pytest or similar.•Experience in test case development.•Happy to work across multiple departments, which may mean multiple locations when required.•Ability to identify relevant areas to be tested•Ability to identify relevant 3rd party tools/applications required to carry out tests.•Exposure to Jenkins useful.•Exposure to AWS (or GCP, Azure) useful

SALARY/PACKAGE:•£45,000 to £55,000 d.o.e.•Performance related bonus•Life insurance, pension and other industry related benefits.
