I'm currently working with a great International Development Charity to recruit a Media & PR role on a permanent basis. The salary for the role is circa £32,000. Based out of their Central London Office this role will work closely with the Media Manager in developing and delivering the organisation wide media strategy and promoting their work throughout the UK Media. The postholder will work with key journalists in the sector, respond to media enquiries, issue press releases, proactively place stories in the media and contribute content for the website, social media and publications. This is a varied PR role that will enable the right candidate to get involved in a wide range of interesting projects and will give people the opportunity to work in the International Development space. Ideal candidates will display:Significant experience working in a busy newsroomA proven track record of securing national media coverageExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExcellent Journalistic skillsGood understanding of UK traditional, new and social media Ideally they are looking for someone from a third sector or international NGO background.
