Legal Level 3 Apprenticeship Field Based Assessor – Part Time Fixed Term Maternity Cover (4 days per week)

As an Apprenticeship Provider specialising in the provision of Apprenticeships for 16-18 year olds LMPQ is seeking a Part Time Assessor for Level 3 CiLex Legal Apprenticeships.

LMPQ is an academy dedicated to providing high quality and professional apprenticeships. We work in partnership with employers and further education colleges to provide relevant and valuable training to develop the future generation of professionals.

The Role

The main responsibility of this role will be to coordinate the work based competence assessment element of the CiLex L3 Programme across Birmingham.

You will report to the Operations Manager and will be expected to be responsible for assessing the work based competence of Apprentices on a monthly basis.

- Developing and designing assessments for the competence units in line with CiLex Level 3 qualification standards

- Ensuring learners make sufficient progress via the completion of regular progress reviews involving learners and their employers

- Developing relationships with Awarding Bodies – in particular having a positive relationship with the CiLex External Verifier

- Maintaining business values

- Management of Apprentice work based issues as and when they arrive

- Delivery of some classroom based ‘mop up’ sessions

- Commitment to ensuring Apprentices complete in a timely manner

- Commitment to ensuring quality work is generated and assessment feedback is given in a timely manner

The successful applicant will possess the following:

·A relevant assessor qualification (or working towards) (essential)

·Excellent communication skills and attention to detail (essential).

·Be hard-working, articulate and committed (essential).

·An ability to coach learners to achieve excellent results.

·Knowledge of and ability to design CiLex Level 3 programmes (essential)

·An ability to self-motivate, work effectively in both a team environment and independently (essential).

·Excellent organisational skills (essential)

·Ability to relate to 16-18 year olds

·Proactive attitude to resolution of learner based issues

·Knowledge and experience of delivering and upholding Quality Assurance (desirable)

·An ability to work with external agencies such as Awarding Bodies and College Funding Partners (desirable)
