Watts Gallery Trust, a registered charity, is seeking a Trusts & Foundation Manager who will be responsible for maximising income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources. About Watts Gallery – Artists’ Village: Watts Gallery - Artists’ Village, described as having ‘a national gallery in the heart of a village’, is set in the rural Village of Compton near Guildford, in the Surrey Hills. The expansion of the Artists’ Village, most recently with the restoration and opening of the Watts Studios, has increased the number of visitors and is now a full day out. Watts Gallery - Artists’ Village has raised £20m over the last five years. With ambitious plans to maximise upon the recent expansion and ensure the future of our heritage, it is an excellent time to join us. Key duties within this role: Identify, research, apply and secure funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies. Manage relationships with trust, foundations and statutory bodies including reporting to ensure the continuation of support. Develop and maintain effective relationships internally, working co-operatively and thoughtfully. Contribute to the development of annual plans and budgets. Support overall development team activities. The successful applicant will have the following experience and skills: Significant experience of successfully soliciting funds from trust and statutory sources. Significant experience of managing and developing relationships with funders. Experience of researching trusts and grant-making organisations. Highly skilled writing ability suited to preparing applications to trust and statutory bodies. Consistent high level of donor care and responsiveness. Strong team working and interpersonal skills. A passion for art, heritage and culture.
