We`re currently looking for an Application Support Analyst to join a leading consultancy who specialise within bespoke cloud application software. They predominantly supply to a number of blue-chip clients (inc. Coca Cola, Deutsche, Adobe and more!).

This is an ideal opportunity to work within a very modern, fast-paced and highly technical environment. We`re ideally looking for someone with a strong technical, customer service driven background with excellent communication skills.

On the technical side, experience within Linux/Red Hat is essential and we`re ideally looking for someone with experience in systems administration.

Responsibilities;

- Operational and maintenance based activities of Cloud Data Centre such that it remains within compliance of its design and security principles.
- Undertake incident, problem, change and configuration management activity to ensure the support of customer systems in line with Service Level Agreements.
- Customer liaison in response to support incidents and events.
- Perform Continual Service Improvement (CSI) activities ensuring the CDC is optimised effectively and delivering value for money.
- Monitor service trends to identify opportunities for improvement plans and input to architecture roadmaps.
- Assist with design and build activity in line with agreed architecture principles.
- Ensure knowledge of the platforms is accurately maintained.

Essential skills;

- Experience in: UNIX (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX), LDAP, Windows, and Mac OS X
- Experience in a Technical Support or Service Engineer capacity
- Logical approach to problem solving
- Works well as part of a team and contributes to continuous improvement
- Outstanding verbal/written communication skills, and relationship building capabilities
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise customer issues effectively
- Passionate about technology.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced technical environment and support a product with frequent product releases and regular maintenance updates

Nice to have;

- Experience in a Consultancy or professional services role.
- Python, Shell Script, Perl, C++/C#/Java, HTML, XML, JSON, Regex
- Experience of Splunk, similar tool or Business Intelligence.
