Location Overview The Freshfields Global Europe Centre provides both business and legalservices to the firm. Our services are delivered in a way which supportsthe global nature of our firm and our clients, enables our fee earnersto deliver exceptional service to our clients and to do that in a waywhich is efficient and effective. Our Europe Centre is the first site tobe established in the emerging Freshfields Global operating model. Ouraspiration is to establish further sites in the US and Asia-Pacific inthe coming years. Function Overview The IT Department is responsible for providing technology and supportto enable fee earners and business services employees to operateefficiently both internally and with their clients. The IT department iscomprised of two functions, Customer Services and Technology Services.These two functions work closely together with the shared goal ofdelivering strategic business value through the application oftechnology. IT operates as a global team with regional presence in mostof our offices. Our centralised IT infrastructure is maintained andmanaged by Technology Services and Customer Services provides allbusiness facing support and services. Qualifications Role Purpose In order to fulfil this role, you will have experience in testmanagement for large scale systems implementations undertaking. The rolewill be accountable for the successful test execution of all the phasesof the Finance solution. The Test Lead will have specific hands-onresponsibility for Test plans, Test scripts, Test execution and deliveryof the Finance and Case Management solutions using both manual andautomated testing techniques. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables The role is to manage a team to support the transition and on goingmaintenance of all Drive application into service; The role will involve managing all Test phases on one or more releasebased projects/programmes; Implementation and co-ordination of the system, automation andEnd-to-End Testing activities; Adhere to testing governance and reporting procedures and guidelinesin escalating formal issues or risks arising from Test activities; Creating detailed Test schedules, including identifying thedependencies on other areas; Ensuring all subordinate Test documentation is produced by theappropriate individual and reviewed; Planning and managing all test stages for the project includingco-ordination with external teams and attending project stage gate meetings; Authorising the completion of Test stages and arranging sign-off withthe key stakeholders; Work collaboratively with the Service Providers and Authorities tohelp identify Testing issues early and seek quick resolution directlywith the appropriate teams; To develop and manage integration test and full ownership of the test phase; Prepare a UAT Test Plan, detailing the approach and scope of thetesting, the timescales, roles and responsibilities and entry/exit criteria; Work with business representatives to prepare and execute Test scenarios; Undertake Defect Management processes, including facilitating DefectReview Boards to ensure that defects are reviewed and prioritised withappropriate stakeholders; Prepare Test Completion Report to help facilitate project led release decisions; To provide regular progress reports either formally or informally asrequired by the project during Test execution; To manage, coordinate and assure the development and execution ofTests by Test teams. Key Requirements Essential Technical Skills Strong understanding of testing processes, methodologies and best practices; Functional Automation techniques using ; Leadership skills demonstrated through testing management and/or teamlead roles covering planning, reporting, issue & risk management andpeople management skills; Regularly working, meeting and liaising with project management toprovide test services for projects; Ability to facilitate UAT scenario gathering workshops with business users; Document and build Test scripts from business scenarios and processes; Experience of Test environment management; Experience in drafting and designing the performance Test plans inline with project requirements; Ability to interpret design documentation and identify Test cases; Demonstrable experience in managing Test phases with multiple complexinterface scenarios; Experience of Quality Gate Management; Strong communicator and able to present high quality documentation; Strong planning and execution skills with attention to detail; Ability to work to strict deadlines . Desirable Technical Skills Experience of executing test lifecycles for Practice Management Systems; Experience of Elite 3e modules, processes and technology; Understanding of Financial processes; Experience covering all areas of the testing lifecycle; Experience of working with global stakeholders; Performance testing tools awareness; Provide support for design/setup of test management tools. Qualifications ISEB/ISTQB Advance level qualification or equivalent; Educated to a degree level.
